How can I get from LGB to LAX ???

would it be easier/cheaper to just to get a cab?

is there a shuttle bus?

If you look at our FAQs section (at the top of the TOPIC LIST),and click on ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE TRANSPORTATION, you%26#39;ll see that you have the following transfer options::

1. Rent a car -- which will cost about $70 when you include gasoline, insurance and the ';drop charge'; (for dropping off the car at a different office than where you picked it up). The drive will take about 40 minutes (without traffic). High traffic periods are between 6:00 and 9:00 and between 14:00 and 19:00, Mon through Fri. During these times, travel time can be 50 to 100% longer.

2. Take a taxi -- about $90-$100 depending on traffic. Same travel time as driving.

3. Take local city or county transit. This will be the least expensive way to travel but will require transferring a number of times and will take a long time. Also, you are not guaranteed a seat and there is no place to store your luggage. To transfer from LGB to LAX would require you to transfer to outside of the airport, picking up a local bus, taking it to a metro rail station and taking the metro rail (2 different trains in succession) to the LAX stop . At that stop, you%26#39;d take a short bus ride into the airport. The entire transfer time would be about 2 hours and cost about $5 per person.

4. Take a privately-owned “shared van” or sedan. Two popular companies providing this service from all airports are Supershuttle and Prime Time Shuttle. Transfer time is about 1-1/2 to 2 hours (without traffic) since the vans will wait to pick up additional passengers at the airport and may drop off passengers before you.

Prime Time charges $25 for the first passenger in your party and $10 for each additonal passenger.
