Hi -
I am trying to plan a wedding from out of town. I am familiar with the most commonly known sites for San Diego beach weddings, but am looking for something a little more off the beaten path. Any suggestions of where to look?
Thanks!
Beach Wedding in San Diego? There is a very comprehensive website devoted to weddings in San Diego:

I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll be able to find some suggestions there!
Beach Wedding in San Diego?Hi! Congrats! I can tell you that I have seen every single stretch of beach in this county. My favorite stretch of beach extends from Scripps Pier up to 15th street in Del Mar. You will, however, want to avoid Blacks Beach for your wedding, as it is a ';nude'; beach. But, the other areas north of that (Torrey Pines state beach up until Del Mar) is some of the most beautiful coastline in the state. The cliffs can make some of this area difficult to maneuver, but there are several pathways to the beach. Most importantly, this is absolutely the least crowded beach areas in San Diego. You would be away from the crowds. Another wonderful beach is called Stone Steps: http://www.stonestepsbeach.com/
Stone steps is down at the bottom of a long stepway along side a beautiful cliff. It%26#39;s relatively quiet, and the sunsets are awesome.
Finally, down the street from Stone Steps is Beacons: http://www.beacons-beach.com/ also a more secluded, beautiful area.
Take a look at these three areas and do your research. Have a great wedding!
yo Nat,
Try this page:
beachweddingsd.com/san-diego-locations.php
They have weddings at the top of Mt. Soledad (if it is a small party) and the view is the best in San Diego.
Down below, there are oceanfront locations in La Jolla. A nice grassy area just south of the childrens pool (seals beach) has a great view but will have some foot traffic.
A more secluded location is Wind-N-Sea beach in south La Jolla (west end of Bonair Street). There is a Tiki Hut on the beach, there will be lower traffic (cars and people), and the beach is great to walk on (it%26#39;s not rocky). This is one of those places locals don%26#39;t usually tell outsiders about. Each evening around 30 people come out to watch the sunset..........
Try http://www.elopesandiego.com they specialize in beach weddings in the San Diego/Coronado area.
The City of Del Mar has two venues: Seagrove Park (outdoors) and Powerhouse (indoors and outdoors) both overlooking the beach. See the video on their website: www.delmar.ca.us
