Booked a Sat. pm stay in a couple of weeks through Hotwire - any suggestions about the hotel/location in general?

YOu%26#39;ll be downtown right in the middle of things.YOu can walk to lots of restuarants and stores.You can walk to the bayfront and the baseball park. You can take public transportation to many sights. There is also a good hop on hop off tour if you like:.see:www.trolleytours.com

I can%26#39;t think of a better hotel location. As Riffsmom has indicated you are within walking distance of everything....Petco Park.....Horton Plaza shopping mall is right next door.....the Gaslamp Area with its clubs, bars , and restaurants is about a 5 minute walk. Petco is a bit further away....15 min, walking distance....but you can catch a trolley at 3rd and C that will drop you off really close to the park if you want to catch a baseball game.

We%26#39;ve stayed there probably over a dozen times. The staff is terrific -- very responsive. One time we had a problem with noisy room neighbors and for our next night, they upgraded us to a HUGE suite (';the Senator%26#39;s Suite';) that was bigger than our house LOL! We usually get a deal where breakfast is included and their restaurant is quite good (either buffet or cooked-to-order.) You can%26#39;t beat the location. If you like ice cream, make sure to hit the Ghiradelli parlor for dessert one evening.
