golden gate bridge

I want to walk across the golden gate bridge. if i do not have a car, how can i get there from fisherman%26#39;s wharf? if i do have a car, where can i park it during the walk?

You get there via the #28 bus without a car. Plenty of people do it. If you do have a car, you park at the lot next to the toll plaza on the south side of the bridge. If you miss the lot, you go over the bridge and park at the ';vista point'; lot on the other side of the bridge. The bridge toll, coming back to the city, is $5 (unless I%26#39;ve missed the latest rate hike).

You can also walk to there from fisherman%26#39;s wharf. it is a good hike, probably an extra mile or two to get to the bridge but along the shoreline there is a small park area so you can get some good views of the bridge. as others have said, there is also a bus line to get you there too.

I have walked from fisherman%26#39;s wharf to the bridge and across it. but then again I also walk from fisherman%26#39;s wharf to union square, via columbus avenue and then chinatown. I like the exercise.

Not sure where you would park your car if you want to walk the bridge.
