Hi. I%26#39;ll be going to DL with my 3-year-old in September and have two questions (for starters, anyway!). I%26#39;m trying to decide whether to get a 2 day pass or a 3 day park hopper and would like to know:
1) Is 2 days at DL sufficient for a 3-year-old or should we plan for 3 days?
2) Does California Adventure park have a lot of attractions for little ones?
Thanks!
DL with a 3-year-oldCA is more geared to teens. I think your daughter will have more fun at DL. I would also guess that 2 days will be plenty.
DL with a 3-year-oldYou can easily spend a 1/2 day at Cal Adventure with her. It is much quieter than DL so a nice break - consider a park hopper. Bug%26#39;s Life area had very cute younger rides and our little ones have always loved the giant Ferris Wheel. The shows are good there too and the food is better than at DL.
As it is September - the crowds should be down so 2 days should be enough. Do as much as you can on day one then hit Cal Adv the next morning then return to DL to hit any rides that they want to go on again.
Good idea. I forgot about the Bug%26#39;s LIfe area.
I think it would be worth it to take a 3-year old to California Adventure. I agree your little one would love the Bug%26#39;s Land area, as well as Turtle Talk with Crush and the Monsters Inc. ride. There is a Playhouse Disney show also that I haven%26#39;t seen (my kids are older). They have a really good Aladdin show there, and a play area in the Redlands area that my kids loved just to run around in.
I love to go in September! It%26#39;s a great time of the year to visit. I think you could probably do 1/2 day in CA then the other day and a half in Disneyland. If it were just me, I%26#39;d go there as many days as I could possibly manage-- but they are big parks and little ones tire out, so I guess you just have to go by what you think your little one can handle. Have fun!
I agree that California Adventure is good for the little ones.
Redwood Creek Challenge is a good place that they can run around when they get tired of being in the stroller and all of California Adventure is easier in that way because it has more open wide spaces and is usually less busy than Disneyland.
Just remember to focus on enjoying yourself rather than trying to do everything with a 3 year old and you will all have a great time!
Thank you all for your hellpful feedback! I had no idea California Adventure had that much for little kids. I%26#39;m definitely going to get park hopper tickets now!
