My husband %26amp; I will be spending 7 days in San Diego in September.
We like to spend time walking on the beach or reading a good book while listening to the ocean. Any ideas on some quiet beaches? We%26#39;d also like some recommendation for Seafood %26amp; Italian restaurants. We will have a car.
Beaches %26amp; Restaurants in San Diego
Hello!
I just got back from my San Diego vacation today! I wish we were still there!
We found Coronado beach (on the Hotel Del side) to be incredibly beautiful and not crowded at all. We also loved La Jolla Cove, though you can%26#39;t really relax there, as it is more rock than sand.
We went to Anthony%26#39;s last night for seafood ,and it was incredible! It sits right on the bay with the old ships, downtown. Can%26#39;t miss it!
One place we thought was a HUGE ripoff was ';Lou and Mickey%26#39;s'; downtown. The food was very, very overpriced and not even good. Their %26#39;alfredo with shrimp%26#39; tasted like wet noodles, and their tuna was barely enough to feed a bird.
If you%26#39;re looking for a great breakfast place, we LOVED Richard Walker%26#39;s Pancake House on Front Street, downtown. The lines were long, but we never waited more than 20 minutes, tops. We went three mornings in a row, and tried something different each time. Their crepes are delicious!

My favorite beach is Coronado.... you didn%26#39;t mention where you will be staying, but my favorite seafood restaurants are Fish Market right downtown off of Harbor Drive, and Pt. Loma Seafood across the bay from downtown. I also love Blue Point Coastal Cuisine in the Gaslamp District - and great martini%26#39;s too! My favorite Italian is Buon Appetito in Little Italy - just a comfortable, great restaurant wth a fun atmosphere - I live sitting on the tables near the sidewalk and watching the people walk by. For dessert, try Extraordinary Desserts on Union between Ash and Beech in Little Italy.
