I need help ASAP!!!

I%26#39;m traveling to LA at the end of August. Me, my sister, and my friend were supposed to be staying with a friend in Receda. Recently she lost her job and has informed us she is moving to New Mexico...so now we don%26#39;t have a place to stay. Our trip lasts 6 days..and I%26#39;m getting very scared reading all the hotel reviews. We don%26#39;t have a lot to spend..as we hadn%26#39;t orginally budgeted for a hotel. I need help finding a clean, cheap place that is NOT overrun by bed rugs or stains on the carpets. We don%26#39;t have to stay in LA or Beverly Hills...just close enough to see most of the sites.

I%26#39;ve never been this far away from home..so I would be so appreciative of anyone%26#39;s suggestions.

you%26#39;ve posted this in the santa monica forum. it%26#39;s one of the priciest places to find a hotel/motel. make sure to post it in the los angeles forum so that you%26#39;ll get more responses. you might also try looking for a place in the san fernando valley (that includes reseda, the place you were going to originally stay). you haven%26#39;t mentioned having a car to use or what price range you can afford. without that information it%26#39;ll be harder for others to help you. having a car will allow you to stay in a cheaper place but still get to where you want to be. without a car your options may be considerably smaller as to where you can stay.

What is your budget? Will you have a car?

See if Orchid Suites or Celebrity Hollywood have availability. Also see if Sea View or Sea Shore in SM have availability.

I%26#39;m not sure if we will have a car yet or not..if we do..it will be a rental one.

I found a hotel called The Farmer%26#39;s Daughter. It seems nice and somewhat affordable. Any comments on it would be greatly appreciated!!

Also..our budget is $600-900.

Farmer%26#39;s Daughter is a good choice - book it if they have availability. It%26#39;s across the street from the Grove and Farmer%26#39;s Market - good location.
