Worried about our stay at Ojai Vally Inn and Spa

Coming out to Ojai to join my husband(there for a scientific meeting) for a long weekend in a few days. We are staying at the Ojai Valley Inn but after reading someof your reviews I am a little worried about spending anymore $$ than we have already have commited to in room rate for a place that may be over-rated. Can anyone offer suggestions for breakfast/lunch/dinner in Ojai that won%26#39;t cost an arm and a leg? We had also planned a day, maybe 2 in Santa Barbara. P.S. we are from Florida so we are looking forward to the variety and beauty that Ca has to offer.

Ojai is beautiful and you%26#39;ll have a nice stay. Enjoy it. For a good reasonable Italian food - try Boccali%26#39;s (Boccali%26#39;s.com), everything is really fresh and service very friendly. If you want a special dinner one night, try Suzannes Cuisine (http://www.suzannescuisine.com/). Both of the websites have menus and prices.

Drive the back roads over to Santa Barbara and enjoy all the flower greenhouses. Also if you enjoy wine, spend a day tasting.

I haven%26#39;t stayed at the Ojai Valley Inn in some years. The occasion was also a meeting my husband was attending. I loved it then, but can%26#39;t comment now. If it helps, AAA gives it 5 diamonds which is its highest rating.

Being from Florida you may enjoy the cooler beach temperatures in Santa Barbara. I thought I would DIE in the summer in Florida %26lt;grin%26gt;.
