Transport to Dodger Stadium

Would like to catch a Dodgers Game on a Saturday night in September. We are staying on Sunset Strip. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is easy to take a taxi to and from the game........We are from Australia and have no idea about the transport system.

Also, how long would it take to get from Sunset Strip to Dodger Stadium.

thanks in advance

Transport to Dodger Stadium

The Sunset Strip is a stretch of Sunset Blvd bounded by Doheny Drive on the West and Crescents Blvd on the east. Dodger Stadium is also adjacent to Sunset Bl -- just one block north of the intersection of Sunset Bl %26amp; Innes Av

Taking a taxi is a straight forward affair. The ride is about 30-40 minutes (there will be traffic). Taxis do not roam the streets of the city but your hotel probably has a taxi queue or they can order a taxi for you.

For the return trip, you will need to pre-arrange the taxi and decide where it is you want to meet it (I would recommend arranging a location that is a few blocks west of the stadium -- along Sunset Bl -- to avoid the crush of people and cars that will be emerging after the game..

In lieu of a taxi, you can take the #2 or #302 bus westbound on Sunset (they are the only two buses that run on Sunset. The #302 moves more quickly than the #2 -- it stops less often). The outbound ride will take about 50 minutes. Get off at the corner of Sunset %26amp; Innes, cross Sunset and follow the crowd up the hill to the stadium. Buses run about every 15 minutes at that hour. The fare is $1.25 per ride or you can buy a DAY PASS for $5 which affords unlimited rides on the metro buses and metro rail trains for the day.

The return ride will be quicker -- 30 minutes or so, but you will have to wait longer for a bus. And, of course, there will be others vying for seats.

Have fun!

Might aswell take the bus(btw, the #302 is not running on sat). You can get the timetable of the bus at www.metro.net, click on timetable and then on line #2

It is just one street, one line, a taxi might be a little faster, but not by a lot, maybe 10 minutes. Save the $ and have some extra beers and dodger dogs instead

thanks for your help...can%26#39;t wait

Sorry, I goofed!

Take the #2 bus EASTBOUND to the stadium -- not westbound!
