My question may be a bit confusing.
Originally I planned to go to Walk of Fame Hollywood on the day I visit Universal Studio , since I know they are not far apart.
I have purchased this Universal Studio tix which includes a round trip shuttle bus to and from Anaheim, where my hotel is. But the tix has a very frustrating restriction: they only pick up at hotel TWICE in the morning and drop off TWICE at night (the return ride starts at either 5pm or 8:30pm).
At first I thought I can visit Hollywood after Universal Studio. But now with the restriction, that means I can%26#39;t go anywhere after I visit Universal Studio %26#39;cause I don%26#39;t know how to get back to Anaheim!!
Going from Hollywood back to Universal Stuido is not a problem. But how can I get back to Anaheim without the Universal Shuttle Bus?
I have checked taxi but I think it%26#39;z gonna cost me a fortune. Renting a car isn%26#39;t a plausible option as I don%26#39;t feel comfortable driving there. Anyone has gotten some suggestions? Is there other shuttle bus avaliable in other time slot (may be later at night like 10pm?) or public transit?
HELP!!
Direction from DL to Walk of Fame Hollywood? I'm desparate!!
Take a look at the Anaheim Visitor Center website. There are tours that might interest you. If you are able to cancel and get a refund for the tour you already booked, you may be interested in the Universal by Day and Hollywood by Night Tour. Otherwise, it might be nice to do the day tour for Hollywood and have more time in there.

Thank you so much!
BC, it%26#39;s very easy to visit Universal using the free shuttle bus AND take a trip to Hollywood at the same time. Here%26#39;s why:
1. The free shuttle departs the Anaheim area twice per day: at 9:15 and at 11:30. The bus ride takes about 45 minutes. So, you will arrive at Universal at either 10 am or 12:15 pm.
2. The return shuttle departs Universal at 5 pm or 8:30 pm.
Most people spend 4 or 5 hours at Universal so if you take the early bus to Universal, you will be finished with Universal by 2:15 pm. Since the later return bus doesn%26#39;t depart until 8:30, that gives you over 6 hours to transfer to Hollywood (and, eventually, back to Universal to meet the return bus) and, of course, plenty of time to explore Hollywood.
As I mentioned in a different one of your postings, the transfer will take 30 minutes each way (at most. If you take a taxi, the transfer time is only 10 minutes).
I would recommend transferring to Hollywood at around 2:15, Enjoy the Hollywood area for 3 or 4 hours (you can even take a 2-hour coach tour at Starline tours). Then at around 6:15, transfer back to Universal. When you arrive at Universal at 6:45, you%26#39;ll still have 1 hour and 45 minutes before the 8:30 bus will arrive to take you back to your hotel. During that time, explore the Universal City Walk which is an outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment area next to the gates of Universal.
There is no reason to cancel your tickets. You have PLENTY of time to see Universal and Hollywood and still be able to use the free shuttle service.
What a relief to see your info HopSkipJump!
Thank you so much!
Hop SkipJump I really appreciate your detail info about how to get to Hollywood with public transit. Unfortunately I just found out that the Universal Studio shuttle bus does have that restriction I was worrying about: If t take the early pickup bus (9:15a)I would have to take the early return bus (6:30p).
I asked if I can refund the tix but they say no. So that means I can%26#39;t go to Hollywood that night.
However, I still don%26#39;t wanna waste my night after Universal Studio. I was thinking of the shopping mall Block at Orange? It seems to have lots of shops that Canada doesn%26#39;t have.
Anymore suggestion regarding night time visit in Anaheim area? Some places that won%26#39;t need lots of crazy commute?
Thanks!
