Funky + local snack place in Hollywood?

Any suggestion for good food in Hollywood? I%26#39;m hoping for funky local stuff, not Red Robbin...McD..basically no chain resturants/ snack place!

both cheap and pricy are fine. if it%26#39;s worth it i%26#39;m willing to give anything a try!

You are on the Anaheim forum...not the Hollywood or LA forum. Chuck...

Funky + local snack place in Hollywood?

uhmmm. but anaheim and hollywood is quite close

i%26#39;m staying in Anaheim for DL for 4 days and juz hoping to spend 1/2 day in Hollywood. of coz i would ask in the Anaheim Forum.

Uhmmm...no, they are not close to gether. Take a look on a map. The Los Angeles forum would be the one to go to. Chuck...

Hey BC Corn

coming to you from just south of the boarder in Bellingham. In my book anaheim and hollywood are plenty close when we are sitting so far away. I have a great place for you to try in Studio City which is more Hollywood than Hollywood. The big studios are in Studio City. It is just over the Hollywood Hills from Hollywood. Try out Jerry%26#39;s Deli! It has great food and a place to to ';seen';. Lots of movie industry people dine at Jerry%26#39;s. Not fancy, just good food.

If you%26#39;re looking for something in Hollywood, I%26#39;m surprised nobody has mentioned the famous Pink%26#39;s Hot Dogs yet. I think the place is overrated, but you can judge for yourself. For a much better hot dog, go to another legendary place......Tommy%26#39;s, even though it%26#39;s not really in Hollywood. But there is a location at Universal Citywalk.

Thank you!! I%26#39;ll definiately put them in my to-try list!

We like the crepe restaurant at Highland and Hollywood Mall. It is called the French Crepe Company. They make the food fresh...and good people seeing from the outside seating areas. Just mentioning it as an option for breakfast or brunch.

Also, Reds Pearl Kitchen is fun to go to

Its dim sum and Asian Fusion - look at the menu or call the restaurants as it has nightly drink specials and the prices are good (although it can get a little more pricey if you want to try more things on their menu -portions are large and good.)

Thank you!

I agree with Pink%26#39;s and Tommy%26#39;s. I thought Tommy%26#39;s had stands all over, but I guess that was a long time ago. Tommy%26#39;s has the best chili burgers in the world. You should google Pink%26#39;s. They have a cool website and it lists the stars that have been seen there.

I also suggest the famous Farmers%26#39; Market in Los Angeles. There are lots of outdoor restaurant stands that have been there for a long time and they sell a variety of food. Magee%26#39;s Corn Beef is the oldest, I think. You can also find a shop there that sells nothing but hot sauces. And a place that sells little Oscar statues that say things like Best Dad, Best Boss, etc. Sometimes you can see some TV or movie stars there, but of course not the really big ones who are in the news all the time. Mostly I think they like to go for breakfast. The Farmer%26#39;s Market opens early. Next to the Farmers%26#39; Market is CBS Television City (TV studios) and The Grove, which is a pretty new and very nice shopping complex.

Don%26#39;t worry about posting this in the Anaheim Forum, since most of us have been to LA/Hollywood too we are happy to give information. Over in the Los Angeles Forum they really do know a lot about Hollywood, though, since it is a part of Los Angeles. And just a tip, no matter how close Hollywood may look on the map to Anaheim, time-wise it will seem farther because of traffic.

Thank you so much! I love these tips!
