Ave. Revolucion - How far a walk from border?

Some posts suggest walking to Avenido Revolucion after taking the trolley to the border. If so, how far a walk is it? Is it an obvious direction? Some others%26#39; advice was to take a cab and negotiate the fare -- if we decide to do that, how much should we bargain for? We are a family of five - girls ages 12, 15, 18. Thanks!

i have never understood what age has to do with walking, except a baby learning.

anyway..... the walk from the trolley, over the freeway and to the border gate is about 1/2 a mile. from the border gate to avenida revolucion is about a mile. avenida revolucion is several miles long.

the directions are basically follow the crowd and look for the signs. most people do walk because of the hassel of dealing with taxis.

keep this in mind..... anything you buy you must carry. a taxi to the border is worth the hassels if you have a lot of stuff. but then again, you will have to carry everything through customs and to the trolley.

one more thing....... with 3 lovely daughters and a lovely wife, you point and count to five every five minutes. DO NOT let anyone out of your sight.

Thank you for the help!

Just went there two weeks ago and walked over the border - took us about 15-20 minutes to walk. I suggest stopping at the visitor%26#39;s center right after you cross the border and get a map and have them draw the way on the map - I thought it was a little confusing even with a map let alone without one, but glad we did it. I also suggest taking birth certificates - they checked all of ours crossing back into the US.
