One Free Day -- What to Do??

I%26#39;ll have one free Saturday until 5:00pm before I head to the airport, what should I do? I%26#39;ve never been to SD so I considered doing the trolley tour thing. Is that my best bet or should I just hop in my car and drive the coast? What is traffic like in San Diego on a Saturday? I%26#39;m staying at the Old Town Inn and plan on walking Old Town on Friday evening.

I fyou mean that you only have one day to see everything inSanDiego then I think the trolley tour is a very good idea. It is a h op on hop off tour so you can get off where you think you%26#39;d like to spend more time and then get back on the next one. It leaves from right near your hotel.

I%26#39;m going to be there for an MCRD graduation so won%26#39;t be really doing much than seeing graduation Friday morning. Sounds like the trolley might be the best idea.

Does traffic die down on the weekends, or do I need to allow a bunch of time to get to the airport from my hotel?

I think the airport will be about 10min or less from your hotel no problem. You will have to leave time for returning the rental car and then going from the car drop off on their shuttle the short distance to the airport(just down the road).

All the rental companies are off airport.there will NOT be a desk in the airport wher eyou fill out papers for the car. You just get your luggage and go outside and wait for the shuttle from your car rental company to pass by.
