breakfast spots

Hi there,

Does anyone have any recommendations for good local breakfast or brunch spots? We will be there Sat pm to Tuesday morning, and are planning on going to the Wild Animal Park Sunday. We would like to get a good breakfast before we head off to the park. Any recommendations for any local favorites? Either in Encinitas where we%26#39;re staying or on the way to the park?

I t%26#39;s funny you should mention breakfast. My husband and I like to play tourist once a week so last week we drove up to Encinitas. I think there are more cute breakfast places there than any other small town I know!!! We ended up at the Potato Shack.

funnily enough, we didn%26#39;t ahv eth epotatoes which you can get with a variety of things on top of them like a pizz or nachos.

Across the street there%26#39;s also StGermaine%26#39;s Cafe

Ablock or so south is Swami%26#39;sCafe and a block or so north is its sister

When we went every one of those places was packed with people so take your pick.

We ended sticking with Denny%26#39;s many times for breakfast. There food is decent and we never had to wait. ( yes very generic). The Encinitas Cafe has great service, if you do eat there try to avoid eating the eggs especially if you like them over easy. Mine were very undercooked and didn%26#39;t settle very well. Enicinitas is wonderful, we just got back from a week there. For lunch or dinner Leucadia I believe its called is a woderful itialian place. We ate there twice. There food is great and very fresh :) Enjoy your visit!
