Least expensive Mt. Shasta lodging?

I%26#39;m planning a trip to Mt. Shasta in mid-late July. What is the least expensive lodging available? I saw the teepees at Stewart Mineral Springs, but it looks difficult for me to access!

Least expensive Mt. Shasta lodging?

Locals will hopefully answer, but to get you started, the least expensive listed in AAA is the A-1 Choice Inn on S. Mt Shasta Blvd. $69-$119 for two.

Another is Cold Creek Inn on N. Mt Shasta Blvd. $72-$89 for two.

A-1 has a pool Cold Creek only has a hot tub but has high-speed internet.

Strawberry Inn right on Mt Shasta Blvd is $50 -$75 and Swiss Holiday Lodge and Mountain Air are $49 - 59. On the first exit going north Called Mt Shast City will dump you onto Mt Shasta Blvd. That street has many choices for lodging. The next exit going north would be the exit for the Best Western which is The Treehouse, which is about $115..

i got in to stewart in my little 99 saturn in april when it was raining... you shouldnt have a problem... the other option along those lines, but would require bringing gear and finding out about the park %26amp; rec pass $$? is to just camp.

and for hotels i never found anything under 50 a night.

I am camping at Lake Siskiyou for $20 a night. Search for them on the web if interested

Go over to the Thorntree forum on Lonely Planet and ask about a hostel in Mt. Shasta. If there is one, they will know.
