Is it best to be in DL for weekdays rather than weekend?
Weekdays (in non U.S. vacation time) are absolutely better at Disneyland for queues. We were there May 2006 and went to DL/DCA on a Tues, Wed, Thurs and Fri. Then we went in on a Saturday and what a huge increase in crowds there was. We did however need to go on the weekend to see the fireworks,Fantasmic and ELP which on play on Fri, Sat and I think Sun nights in the low season when the park is open late.
Is it best to be in DL for weekdays rather than weekend?
Absolutely!! Unless of course you%26#39;re going during the summer months, in which case, there is really not too much of a difference.
Thanks
That can be kind of a relative question. It depends on what you consider the best way to do DL. Removing crowds from the equation:
In general, weekends at DL have longer hours and more entertainment during the off season. On weekdays, DL closes earlier and may have less entertainment choices.
Peak season, which would be summer, right before and after Christmas, and during Spring Break has extended hours every day and more entertainment every day.
DL makes every attempt to have all rides up and running during peak summer season, from about the third week of June to our Labor Day holiday (in the first few days of September).
Rides are refurbished or closed for addition or removal of special overlays during the ';off season';.
That%26#39;s a good point. Sometimes there%26#39;s ';more going on'; on the weekends. But as far as crowds, the weekdays will generally be better than weekends.
We just got back from a 10 day stay at Disneyland and I personally saw no difference between the weekend or the weekday. On our last day there, which was a Thursday was the most busiest day out of all the days we were there.Even busier than July 4th. I think in the summer it does not matter, because people are on holidays, so weekday or weekend, the park was busy every single day we were there and we spent five days in the parks. We would just get there early, get on some rides while the lines weren%26#39;t too bad and fast pass the good ones for later. We would go back to our hotel for a dip in the pool to cool off, have supper, and then go back to the park for the evening. A good time to get on rides is during all the shows, or after the last of the shows as people seem to leave.
Of course not!! As JCena said, you were there during the summer, in which case, there really is not much of a difference between weekday or weekend.
