Going to be in Bay Area August 10-15 for a wedding. Heading to Sonoma on the 13th and Carmel on the 14th. Looking for a can%26#39;t miss restaurant in San Francisco for Sunday evening the 12th. We are big steak eaters so we are looking a for a great steakhouse...something like a Ruth%26#39;s Chris or a Mortons. What are some restaurants in Sonoma worth checking out? Anybody know of any good wineries up there that we could check out? Also, looking for a few tips on what to do/see in Carmel. Thanks

Just returned from a trip to San Francisco, Carmel, and Healdsburg in Sonoma County. I%26#39;m not sure I can help you with the restaurants, since we didn%26#39;t go to any steakhouses (although if you like seafood at all, Willi%26#39;s in Healdsburg was very good. While you%26#39;re in Carmel you have to drive south to Big Sur. Calling it a spectacular drive is an understatement. Try to get to Pfeiffer beach down that way if you can. It%26#39;s a little hidden but worth the stop. Point Lobos State Reserve is also remarkable and a must-see while you%26#39;re in Carmel. As for the wineries, we liked J and Armida in Sonoma. Have a great time.

Haven%26#39;t eaten at either of these two I am recommending but heard great things about both and am probably trying them during our trip this October.
In San Francisco Boulevard Restaurant
In Napa: Cole%26#39;s Steakhouse--Their menu looks awesome. They specialized in aged beef!
You can google each and see menus on line. Couldn%26#39;t get Boulevard%26#39;s on my computer, but you should try anyway.

Some steakhouses I like besides ruth chris%26#39; and mortons, are acme chop house, alfred%26#39;s harris%26#39; and bob%26#39;s steak and chop house.
I%26#39;d put Harris%26#39; on the list (upper Van Ness?)
That%26#39;s all, other than to say, I%26#39;d be asking about seafood %26amp; sushi in SF rather than steak.
Hi! If you%26#39;re in SF and you want good steak - go to the House of Prime Rib. They serve more than just steaks. They serve fish, pasta, and have great wines too. Just so it jives with your budget, take a look at the Dinner Menu on their webpage. Cheers and have lots of fun! --%26gt; http://houseofprimerib.ypguides.net/
