Romantic dinner...suggestions??

One more question!

We are also looking to make dinner reservations for one night and totally splurge. I have read some reviews and I%26#39;m looking at Gary Danko, Michael Mina, or Aqua (although I%26#39;d be happy to take other suggestions). We want a totally romantic an delicious dinner. We both love seafood and steaks and amazing desserts (well pretty much anything!!). Thanks for the help again!

Are you sure you can%26#39;t splurge for more than one night... so many options!

Foreign Cinema in the Mission District is one of my favorite places to eat under the stars with a foreign flick projected on the wall... food is very good too... Check out their web site to see what%26#39;s playing... I really like taking my wife there for special occasions.

Or of course, Fleur de Lys... very French, very romantic. Need I say more? Chef is actually very accessible too. I%26#39;ve met him on a number of occasions and he is such a nice humble man, for such an accomplished chef.

(can%26#39;t go wrong with Danko, Mina, or Aqua either...)

For Seafood with price as no object, Farallon, is an amazing place to go too food wise and decor wise.

Yelp.com has local reviews and lots of pictures to help you make up your mind for this special night!

I don%26#39;t think you can go wrong with Gary Danko. It is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is very good, but the service is spectacular. It is one of the top rated restaurants on Yelp if you want to read reviews from ';real'; people www.yelp.com I highly recommend it.

You might consider Dining Room at the Ritz Carlton as well. Ron Siegel is doing some neat stuff there. Also, look into Myth or Ame.

Yelp is a good source, but my advice would be to check out the SF board at chowhound.com. The posters there really know their food.

OK, now I want to stay for weeks and go to all those places! They all sound terrific, thank you for your suggestions! I%26#39;ll check out that website too to read the reports.

we are in san francisco for the last leg of our fortieth anniversary and i tried to book gary danko%26#39;s seven weeks in advance and couldn%26#39;t get in, so good luck!
