Hi,
I want to know if there is anybody out there that knows of any company that can deal with a group transfer from LA Airport to Las Vegas hotel next April 4th 2008. It would only be one-way as we%26#39;d be flying out of Vegas airport.
I cannot find anything on the net. There will be 7 of us so ideally we%26#39;d like a bit of luxury and maybe and stretched limo or similar. Would a limo actually be able to do this journey?
Luxury Transfers - LA Airport to Vegas? To answer your question.... Yes, a limo is able to make that journey.
Why would you want to do that as there are other more economical choices. The cost for what you would want to do is extremely high, upwards of $1000 depending on the size of the group and vehicle used.
Other choices? Fly into Las Vegas directly. Fly from LAX to Vegas. Flights are not expensive. Try Southwest Airlines. Rent a car or van.
Luxury Transfers - LA Airport to Vegas? You should fly from LAX to Las Vegas. The trip is terrible with a very boring desert in between. If you arrive at LAX at the wrong time then the trip could take forever with the trafic.
Flights from LAX to Lax Vegas take around 1 hour and are very cheap.
If you use a Limo then you pay for the car to return to LA. Wth 7 people in a limo with the luggage things could get tight.
';You should fly from LAX to Las Vegas. The trip is terrible with a very boring desert in between. ';
This is extremely bad advice for someone from Europe. Repeatedly, people from Europe come back to report that the drive between LA and LV was a trip highlight.
Sadly, some locals can%26#39;t appreciate some of the best parts of California. My state was made to be seen from the ground, not 35k feet in the air.
A second vote for flying.
If you want to take a group excursion into the desert from Las Vegas, go to Hoover Dam and Lake Mead -- less than an hour from Las Vegas. I am certain that you would have NO trouble locating a limo in Las Vegas for such a trip and you would have the additional comfort of not having to share the limo with your luggage.
I don%26#39;t know if you are from Souythhampton, Vermont or from the UK but the thought of a 5 to 10 hour plane ride, followed by baggage claim (and possibly immigration) and then 6 to 8 hours in a car doesn%26#39;t seem like much of a vacation (holiday) to me.
If you%26#39;re determiined to drive to Vegas, I%26#39;d spend the first day/night in L.A. What%26#39;s the point of crossing the desert by car when you are too tired to appreciate it?
A one-way flight would be only $40-50 per person. This would be faster and more economical as mentioned than hiring a limo service for a 5 hour drive. If you really want to drive it for the scenery, you should just rent a van.
What airline does flights around the $40-50 mark? I%26#39;d be interested in looking into that.
Also, if we were to stay for 1 night in LA and then car hire our way to Vegas do you have recommendations for hiring a big enough wagen to accomodate 6 of us together rather than getting 2 cars? I know the obvious ones like Dollar and Alamo but are there any specialist places for somethinga bit different maybe.
Definitely stay the night in LA or Santa Monica before venturing out another 5-6 hours across the desert, after a 12 hour flight.
Many rental companies have large SUVs you can rent, including Budget in Beverly HIlls. Just do the research on google ';specialty car rental Los Angeles'; or something similar.
If you fly (my preferred transport to Vegas), look into Southwest Airlines and United Airlines.
For 6 people, a van would be best. I%26#39;ve rented a Nissan Quest before from Alamo I believe for around $50 per day and it was great for 5 people with lots of luggage and a bunch of camping equipment.
In terms of flights, Southwest and Virgin America are your best bets for this route (cheapest if you buy at least 1 month ahead), but also run a search on www.kayak.com which checks other airlines (like US Airways and United) which may have specials with similar fares.
Actually to get the lowest fares on Southwest you have to look WAY ahead ,like 3 months because they book only a certain no. of months ahead and when the new fares come out the cheap ones go very quickly!!
That%26#39;s mostly for high travel time and good flight times. If they%26#39;re not going on a Friday or Sunday, and don%26#39;t mind a morning flight, 1 month is fine. There are flights every 30 mins. If they have 3 months, it will give them more options of course.
