only comment on Saturday PM North Beach, it is rather popular so if you don%26#39;t mind a crowded restaurant or crowded bar, this is a way to spend Saturday night bar-hopping. Google ';North Beach pub crawl'; for future dates of this event that could coincide with your visit such as http://museum.meetup.com/65/calendar/6670219/ (I would email the organizer about your dates you%26#39;ll be here if you want to join the crawl)

where were you planning to go in SOMA on a Monday morning? SFMOMA? Yerba Buena Center for the Arts? Some museums and galleries are not open on Mondays. SFMOMA is open on Mondays.

The Ferry building is great for the Saturday Farmer%26#39;s Market (less interesting on a Monday night) and you may want to look into this restaurant (they have a booth at Farmer%26#39;s Market): http://www.rosepistolasf.com/ - you could dine at their North Beach location on Monday night, but it may be better to dine there on Friday night or Saturday night for their Jazz.

A few things to consider...

Friday: Grace Cathedral closes at 6PM. Don%26#39;t forget to swing by the sea lions at Pier 39 for a little bit on Friday.

Saturday: North Beach for dinner = good choice. I like Tomasso%26#39;s. Rose Pistola is also good (but I%26#39;m a little bitter, because they took the spot of my firend%26#39;s restaurant that had to move) Also, if you want a good SF review, Beach Blanket Babylon is a show unlike any other that is quintessential San Francisco. Another good show is the Rainmakers at the American Conservatory Theatre.

Monday: Good call on the Alcatraz night tour (you booked already right?, if not do so very soon). Ferry Building a night is a good place for a quite walk, but there%26#39;s not much going on, except at Slanted Door, which comes highly recommended (personally I think it%26#39;s a little expensive, but the food is amazing and its a hipsters place to go, a little on the loud side too). There%26#39;s good Jazz at Shanghai 1930 (also pricey, but pretty unique too).

Tuesday: If you%26#39;re in the Mission on Tuesday, by all means EAT there! So many good places. Foreigen Cinema, Limon, Bar Tartine, Charanga, Spork, Ti Couz, Cha Cha Cha... and on and on....lotsa cheap eats too!

Bring a range of clothes! It was really warm on Saturday, today the coastal fog came in... and it was pretty chilly after about 3 PM. Temperature forecasts really don%26#39;t translate well... bring a bit of everything.

Hey, thanks guys!

Obisidian, yes I might SFMoMa for a quick visit on Monday. Thanks for the tip on the Ferry Building, I will go a little earlier. I%26#39;ve also booked Rosie Pistola, any idea when their jazz band starts?

MisterChinn, I%26#39;ve booked Limon, it looks great on their website! Yep, we%26#39;ve booked Alcatraz a few weeks ago, was hesitant about that as we thought it will be freezing at nite but now that u said the weather really varies, feel abit better about our decision :)

Does anyone know any good Spanish food good for things like Paela? Nothing too high end though.

You might want to post a separate thread to get more response on the Spanish food query..

Alegrias is the place people recommended to me, and I like it a lot (never having been to Spain), definitely not super high end. Tapas and Paella are great. And reasonable prices.

For the atmosphere, B44 at Belden Place is a great place. It gets mixed reviews on Yelp, but I%26#39;ve had good meals there and I just really love Belden Place... so I go back, especially for lunch.

Thanks MisterChinn, I%26#39;ve taken your reviews on board and will also post a new thread :)
