Help with Planning San francisco trip Pleas!!

Hello, Im trying to plan a 10 day trip in June 08, to san Francisco but not too sure about how to fit everything in . We are flying in to San Francisco, would like to stay where we can walk and see most of the sites, china town, golden gate bridge, fishermans wharf etc, Im thinking 4-5 days? We really want to check out the parks,KIngs Canyon,Yosemite, death valley etc. We will need to rent a car to do that, and that leaves us with 5 or 6 days then fly back out from S.F. airport. So my question is...should we rent a car from tthe airport and do the parks first? Then come back drop car off and explore S.F . If we do the parks first do you have any suggestions on where we should stay?? And if we shouldnt rent a car from the airport, are there car rental companies pretty easy to fing around the hotels?? Any suggestions and helpful information would be greatly appreciated!!

Your plans are over-ambitious. You should seriously consider spending more time doing less rather than so little time trying to do so much.

George Max 芦In the matter of a vacation, less is more.

芦Do less driving, more time at any one site. . . .

芦Just %26#39;cause it%26#39;s ';doable'; doesn%26#39;t mean it should be done.禄

You can do what you wish but you ought not.

My favorite hap%26#39;nin%26#39;s there: The Huck Daniel Revue and Blues Jam in the Stratosphere%26#39;s Images Lounge, Mondays at 22:00. It%26#39;s a blast that%26#39;s been happening since 1988, at the Stratosphere since 2001.

Huck Daniel%26#39;s Celebrity Jam in the Armadillo Club at Texas Station, Saturdays at 21:00. Good floor, few dancers.

A terrific 17-piece band plays at the Italian-American Social Club, on Sahara just past Eastern, Thursdays at 20:30. Nice floor; take a partner!

The Classic Jazz Band (n茅e the Royal Dixie Jazz Band), an excellent sextette, plays Monday-Friday at the Gold Coast from 13:00-18:40. On Wednesdays and Fridays, additional dance space is provided.

The ';Don%26#39;t-miss SIGHTS in San Francisco'; page geocities.com/touringsfo/Articles/Sights.html has enough to keep you busy for nine 12.7-hour days. It includes links to your best sources of advice on WHERE TO EAT and, according to the Department of Health, WHERE TO NOT EAT here, the UseNet Group ba.food, and the quite-good sfSurvey/Tastyr and the comprehensive Yelp. It also has a WEATHER CHART with a link to current conditions.

I agree with the previous post: you are trying to cram too much into one trip. Caliofrnia ia a huge state and you would be spend inga lot of time in the car. My suggestion is to rent the car at SFO and go exploring first. You might think about driving up to the Sierra Foothills (Sonora and Columbia) and spending the night there. Then swing over to Yosemite and spend a few days there. afterwards, you could head west possibly to Carmel or Monterrey (if you have time) in a day drive. Make sure you check out the Aquarium in Monterrey. The point of this is that the natural scenery in these locations is so beautiful that you want to spend a few days there to savor it. Then I would do the city shtick for a few days, leaving the car at SFO.
