Transportation LAX, hotel, dinner, cruise LAX

HI there

I have read through the detailed information on ground transportation

and still have some specific questions as follows:

We are a family of 7, arriving in a group of 3 and 4 and then travelling all togther. What is the most convenient transportation from LAX to our hotel Anahiem desert inn and suite. We will be arriving at three different times on Friday Nov 23 (Thanksgiving). Then we will be going for dinner to Medeival Dinner in Buena Park and need transport from our hotel to the castle. Then on Sunday morning we need transportation to the cruise ship...then back to LAX after the cruise. I was thinking of a exclusive van for all...but not sure how to reserve this? or the best way to arrange it when we are there?

Please advise.

Also one more question. our 4 X 20 something year olds will be arriving within an hour of each other at LAX...two on West Jet and two on Air Canada. I believe both at Terminal 2. What is a good location to tell them to meet each other at. It will be a very busy day at the airport.

Thanks so much

Mom

There is a FlyAway bus that goes from LAX to Disneyland. You can look up the schedule online. You should contact your hotel to find out if they can arrange transportation to Medieval Times for you. I%26#39;m sure many people do this and there may be a van service that does this specifically for those staying in Disneyland hotels. Where is your cruise departing from, San Pedro or Long Beach?

I think you should meet at the FlyAway bus stop in front of the terminal.

Thank you I will look up the FlyAway service.

Our cruise is leaving from Long Beach.

There is NO flyaway bus to Disneyland. Flyaway buses go to destinations WITHIN the city of L.A. Anaheim is outside of the city limits.

Your question is a little confusing since you say that there are:

TWO groups

arriving at THREE separate times (how is that possible?)

and then traveling TOGETHER

So, which is it? Will you be transferring as ONE GROUP from LAX to Anaheim? If so, the least expensive method is an exclusive van. Goto REDVANS.COM, put in the number of people in your party and the starting and ending points, and a PRIVATE VAN will be offered to you as one of the options. Use it for LAX to Anaheim and Anaheim to the port (San Pedro or Long Beach).

If you are traveling in smaller groups, than use the Disneyland express bus (http://graylineanaheim.com/airport_info.cfm) This bus goes to the Disneyland hotel and then onto the hotels of Anaheim.

As far as a meeting place at terminal #2, when you exit the terminal, there are islands ahead of you in the roadway where passengers wait for various shuttles. Each island has a color-code sign hanging over it. Here%26#39;s a map of the airport terminals and these colored islands: Terminal #2 is the narrow horizontal gray shape at the 12 o%26#39;clock position on the map just below and to the left of the word GROUND. The color-coded islands are below the terminal. (The yellow is a taxi stand which is on the sidewalk directly in front of the terminal. The other colored areas are on islands in the roadway. They could either meet on one of these islands or by the taxi stand.

If you select a PRIVATE VAN, it pulls up on the ORANGE island. If you select the DISNEYLAND EXPRESS bus, it pulls up on the GREEN island. Remember, the color-coded signs hang above the islands.

BTW, here%26#39;s a map of the terminals and the airlines that serve them:

According to this map, WestJet arrives at terminal #3. Check with the airline to be sure. If they are arriving at two different terminals, they can easily walk to one another (1 to 2 minutes along the connecting sidewalk). or the son who arrives in terminal #2 can hop on the FREE Airline Connections bus which goes COUNTERCLOCKWISE on the roadway (as does all of the traffic). The ride will take 15 to 20 seconds.

Have fun!

You have been very helpful..Sorry for the ocnfusion. Here is the detailed scoop. Three of us arrive in the am... (parents + 16 yr old) the other 4 (in their early 20%26#39;s) arrive within an hour of each other in the afternoon ( 2 from Calgary on WJ and 2 from Whitehorse on Air C). They will be meeting and then travelling together to the hotel. After that it will be all 7 of us.

West jet advises us that they have now switched to terminal 2.

It%26#39;s probably a little bit cheaper to take the DISNEYLAND EXPRESS bus then. (Be sure to buy a ROUND TRIP ticket from the website since it is less expensive than 2 one way tickets). Good luck!

Sorry. My mistake. I should have said Grayline Disneyland Resort Express bus, which is hourly. http://graylineanaheim.com/airport_info.cfm

Yikes I am still a bit confused.

I looked up REDVAN and it seems like a great deal getting us all from the Cruise ship back to the airport.for $72. Howver I cannot see where they would get us all TO the cruise ship FROM our hotel...they seem to only provide airport serivces?

Is there a service that can get us from the hotel to the Long Beach? A van?

Thanks

Mom

Don%26#39;t worry, BB

Redvans.com (don%26#39;t forget the %26#39;s%26#39; at the end of %26#39;redvan%26#39;) treats the port as if it were an airport. Here%26#39;s what I mean:

To make a reservation to go to the cruise port, click on ';reservations and fare quotes'; and then click on the option that says: ';Start here if you are departing from a California airport';. Then on the next screen, click on the SELECT YOUR AIRPORT drop-down menu and you will be surprised to see that one of the %26#39;airports'; is something called:

';Carnival Cruise Long Beach Queen Mary';

This is your port!

Then fill in your hotel info on the rest of the screen. It%26#39;s weird, I know. I%26#39;m sure that there are 1000s of people who don%26#39;t use them because they can%26#39;t figure how to reserve a van to the port.

Have fun!
