I will be in Santa Cruz this weekend. Can someone recommend the best place to take pictures of the sunset.

In general, Capitola Village is very picturesque - it has a small beach, a wharf, cliffside homes and pastel colored beach condos.

Otherwise my only other idea is not too original, but most beaches have a nice sunset. It%26#39;s been very foggy and cloudy here since last weekend - hope the weather turns nice for your visit.

Monterey Bay faces south, not west, and Santa Cruz is at the north end of the Bay, so to get a good sunset I would get to more open water. Capitola is not a bad idea. Or drive south to, say, Manresa Beach.

Manresa Beach and Capitola are both very nice places to spend time in, we enjoyed both of these places on our day trip to Santa Cruz awhile back. Have dinner at the Shadowbrook Inn in Capitola after you catch the sunset, it%26#39;s very nice. Enjoy your trip! :)
