My family%26#39;s coming in from Illinois New Year%26#39;s for a couple weeks. We want to bike the Pacific Coast Highway and other trails. How%26#39;s the weather then?
Is January warm enough for biking?January tends to have highs in the mid to upper 60%26#39;s and lows in the 40%26#39;s. However, Southern California weather in general in is unpredictable and you could have even warmer weather or rain.
You can go biking comfortably almost any day of the year here.
Is January warm enough for biking?Peoria eh? I grew up in Joliet, and worked for ComEd for several years, even worked a few outages at the plant there in Peoria. Nice town!
Considering where you are coming from, and what time of year, you will probably be in shorts and tee shirts. I know for the first three years I lived in San Diego after moving here from Illinois, I always used to laugh at everyone bundled up in the ';winter'; when it was all the way down in the upper 50%26#39;s at night. But, after three years my blood thinned out and now I%26#39;m the same way. ;)
Your only problem is that you%26#39;re coming during the ';rainy season'; which believe me, is a relative term. Our wettest month is probably drier than your driest month. Expect some clouds and daytime highs in the low 60%26#39;s - perfect for biking.
Enjoy your trip!
