I will be spending part of my honeymoon in San Francisco, the week of October 15th. My fiance and I would like to see a play while we%26#39;re in town, and as far as I can tell, the only ';fancy'; theatre with a ';big'; show that week will be the Orpheum with Color Purple. My first question is if anyone knows of any other shows going on that week as possible other options.
Secondly, I have read that the Orpheum Theatre is in not so nice a part of town. My thought was to take the F-Line there and back from our hotel near Union Square. Is it generally safe getting to the station and waiting there for the streetcar, or would we be better off taking a cab?
Any help you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

for a listing of the big and smaller shows playing around the City. And the F line stops right in front of the Orpheum, so I would consider the streetcar safe, though you may encounter some homeless in the area. Use common big city sense and you shouldn%26#39;t have a problem.
