Monterey to Las Vegas

What is the best route to take to from Monterey to Las Vegas. I don%26#39;t care about views just the best and quickest route.

Monterey to Las Vegas

Hwy 68 to Salinas. Take the 101 south to Hwy 46 east (Bakersfield/Fresno exit) until you reach the 99 freeway. Head south to Hwy 58 east (you%26#39;ll see a Hwy 58 exit a few miles before you reach the exit heading east, but it heads west.... keep going!) The 58 east will take you through the Tehachapi Mountains into the Mojave desert. That%26#39;s as close to Vegas I can get you.

I%26#39;m sure there are signs indicating the roads you want to get you there, but hopefully someone else will complete the route for you.

True. If you want views, you go FROM Las Vegas TO Monterey.

Bakersfield-Barstow on Hwy 58 us about 130-140 miles.

At Barstow, take I-15 east, turn on autopilot for another 150-160 miles, and enter Las Vegas from the south.

Best and quickest?

I always drive north 101 to San Jose, then fly US Air direct to Vegas!
